HTTP Headers documentation

The HTTP Headers tool follows a bounded redirect chain and groups the final response headers by purpose so important signals are easier to review.

01

Status and redirect chain

Start with the final URL and every redirect that led to it. Unexpected temporary redirects, loops or cross-host hops can affect caching, crawler discovery and the URL users ultimately reach.

02

Header groups

Scopeva separates caching, security, content and SEO-related headers. Missing headers are not automatically errors; their importance depends on the page and deployment architecture.

  • Cache-Control, ETag and content freshness
  • X-Robots-Tag and Link response headers
  • Content-Security-Policy, HSTS and framing controls

03

Review changes safely

Confirm whether a CDN, reverse proxy or application server owns each header before changing it. Test production-like responses because local development servers often omit or replace deployment headers.
